Olympic Development Program - District IV

ODP (Olympic Development Program), which is open to all players at the district level, provides the ultimate experience and training for the players selected. District IV ODP players compete against players from other districts within CYSA-North, ultimately leading to the selection of State, regional and national ODP players. Each year several players from all over CYSA-North (including many District IV players) are selected for national boys and girls teams. The program opens numerous opportunities for our youth players.

Season Tryouts 2010/2011
You are invited to tryout for this season’s District IV ODP. This is the first step toward the State, Regional, and National ODP program.

Here are the steps that will take place:

- All interested player’s try-out at the district level.
- A pool of players will be selected at each group (usually this is around 30 players).
- This pool of players will attend roughly 4 training sessions throughout June and July. These sessions will generally take place on Sunday’s.
- At the end of July this pool will be reduced down to 18-20 players.
- These 18-20 players will train roughly 4-6 times between August and September.
- They will attend 1 play date in September.
- They will attend 1 play date in October.
- Players will then be selected for California North State try-outs from these 2 play dates. State tryouts take place in December.

To register for try-outs please fill out the online registration form and fill out the medical waiver form . You will need to bring the medical waiver with you to the first try-out.

*Note: The Registration form requires a wet-ink signature: This form MUST be signed by the Parent/Legal Guardian OR a Player age 18 or over. Players who turn 18 during the seasonal year must have a new form filled out. Players who are 18 MUST sign their own form. The wet-ink signature must be in a color ink other than black if the form is downloaded from the CYSA website. Two copies of this form must be turned into your League/Club Registrar with the appropriate fees. You may make a copy of the signed form and turned the original and the copy in or you may turn in two signed copies of this form. Please DO NOT mail or send this form into the CYSA State Office.

U13 - January 1 - December 31 1998
U14 - January 1 - December 31 1997
U15 - January 1 - December 31 1996
U16 - January 1 - December 31 1995
